Living Mediterranean · The film

A beautiful garden.
A different way to think about water.

Soil, plants, uses and irrigation: discover how we design a garden that relies less on water, then support its establishment.

55 seconds · Music and text, without voice-over

Design. Create. Support.

Observe the place, preserve its character, diversify planting and adapt care through the seasons.

The film uses AI-generated sequences to illustrate our approach. It does not show a completed project or measured water savings. Watering during establishment remains necessary.

DESIGN · CREATION · FOLLOW-UPONE AREA OR THE WHOLE GARDENA PROJECT THAT CAN PROGRESS IN STAGES

Start with what matters to you

Keep the soul of the place.
Rethink what it needs.

A treasured tree, a view, a shaded corner, the pleasure of welcoming friends. Transformation starts with what your garden already brings to your life.

01 / CHARACTER

Keep the best.

Preserve the useful plants, atmosphere and uses that make your garden distinctive.

02 / WATER

Understand before you irrigate.

Consider soil, plants, surfaces and settings together to reduce reliance on irrigation.

03 / THE LIVING WORLD

Work with nature.

Care for the soil and diversify planting to make more room for wildlife, within a clear design.

Our conviction

A living garden
is still a garden
to enjoy.

Using water thoughtfully means more than replacing a lawn with gravel. Uses, shade, planting, the movement of water and the care you can realistically provide all need to work together.

We design a composition suited to your land and everyday life. Establishment watering and considered maintenance remain necessary.

Clear support

From the first idea
to an established garden.

01

Getting to know you.

A complimentary conversation to understand the place, your project, your area and an initial works budget. A short visit then follows for suitable projects.

02

Designing together.

An in-depth visit, standard site measurements and a laboratory soil analysis. You receive a plan, an illustrated plant palette and principles for soil, mulching and irrigation. Two rounds of changes within the initial scope are included.

03

Creating at your pace.

A separate quotation for the works, whether for one coherent area or the entire garden. Phasing and the division of care are agreed before commitment.

04

Passing on the knowledge.

At handover, we explain your personalised notebook: plan, plants, irrigation and care calendar. Water metering is proposed subject to feasibility and the cost set out in the quotation.

The design study is a paid service, quoted after the first visit.

The study remains payable if the works are not entrusted to ORIZON. A 3D view and specialist technical surveys are optional. Rainwater possibilities are considered; specialist studies and installations are quoted separately.

After planting

The garden evolves.
We stay in touch.

Three appointments to observe establishment, adjust practices and provide guidance.

3 months

Observe.

Plant establishment, irrigation, mulching and getting to know your garden.

6 months

Adjust.

Plant development, settings and seasonal effects.

12 months

Review.

A full annual cycle to plan the next steps and update advice.

Two hours on site per visit, including minor adjustments and corrective care within that time. Monthly water readings supplied by you or your gardener are reviewed during these visits.

A 12-month commercial plant-establishment guarantee covers new plants supplied and planted by ORIZON under the conditions in the quotation: one replacement per eligible plant following assessment, including removal, disposal and replanting. Applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.

A few answers

Make an informed decision.

Does the entire garden need to change?

No. One coherent area can be enough to begin. We consider how it fits into the whole garden and its connections with irrigation, access and everyday use. Works can be phased.

Will the garden no longer need water?

Establishment must be supported and care adapted to the place and seasons. We aim to reduce dependence on irrigation; we promise neither zero watering nor a percentage saving without reliable measurements.

Who is Living Mediterranean for?

Owners of gardens with character who want to transform an existing garden. No fixed minimum budget is stated: area, constraints, access and distance help us assess each project.

Who cares for the garden between visits?

Responsibilities are agreed in the quotation between you, your gardener and ORIZON. The three visits do not replace watering, monitoring and routine maintenance.
